It is also distributed in Southeast Asia and Europe. It was first launched in 1997 as Music Asia, rebranded as Zee Music in 2000 and finally rebranded as Zing in April 2009.[4]
Zing features humour, animation, spoofs and celebrity lifestyle in addition to music. Zing also has Chillax Mornings, a non-stop musical programming block.
In the UK, Zee Muzic was rebranded as Zing on 2 October 2009.[5]
On 21 July 2011, Zing TV was officially launched in North America on the Dish Network platform.[6]
Controversy
Zee Media fired Sonu Nigam after he tweeted in support of politician Dr. Kumar Vishwas.[7][8][9]
