Violin Sonata No. 1 in D major (Schubert)

Sonatina in D major is a music composition by the German composer Franz Schubert written for the violin and piano. Schubert wrote the piece in 1816 along with two other violin and piano sonatas, together forming the sonatinas Op. 137.[1]


The piece consists of three movements:

  1. Allegro molto, sonata form
  2. Andante
  3. Allegro vivace, ternary form
