Personal life

Biggs was born on 1990 in Johannesburg, South Africa but emigrated with her family to Australia when she was 12 and attended St Mary's Anglican Girls' School. From a young age, she was schooled in dance and ballet, but started to pursue a career in modelling at age 16, after being scouted by Vivien's modelling agency.[1]

Scherri-Lee started a relationship with accountant Lachlan Smith when they both met in a Melbourne restaurant in 2010, but later in 2017 Channel Nine Perth released a statement that their relationship broke up after being engaged for only a year and a half. A few months later, she met Brad Sheppard, a West Coast Eagles Football Club player, they began dating before they became engaged months after.

Miss Universe

Biggs, a popular delegate and favourite to win the competition,[1][2][3] became Miss Universe Australia on 7 July 2011 in a ceremony held at Melbourne's Sofitel hotel, outdoing 21 other delegates from across the country. This certified her with a place in the Miss Universe pageant, held in São Paulo, Brazil on 12 September 2011, finishing in the Top 10.[1]

Career

After losing in the Miss Universe, Scherri-Lee began working with Channel Seven in Melbourne where she was a reporter for sporting events broadcast on Seven Sports and a daily travel show "Coxy's Big Break" until 2 years later, where she moved to Perth.

In August 2014, Biggs was announced as the new weather presenter on Nine News Perth replacing Sally Ayhan. She remains as the current weather presenter as of 2019 and has also covered events happening in Perth.
