Rajat Tokas is an Indian television actor, known for his portrayal of Prithviraj Chauhan in Star Plus's historical series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Robindo Ganguly in Star Plus's popular drama Tere Liye, Akbar in Zee TV's historical romance Jodha Akbar, Chandragupta Maurya in Star Plus's historical romance Chandra Nandini, and Vikrant in Colors TV's supernatural revenge Naagin 3.

Rajat started his television career with show Bongo as Ashu on DD national. He afterwards did many other shows like lighthouse for children, jadui chirag, tarang, ye hawayan etc. In 2005, he came to Mumbai with his father & bagged the role of Tantya, who was Sai Baba's brother in Sai Baba.

In 2006, Tokas was selected by Sagar Arts to play his first lead role of young Prithviraj Chauhan[1] in the series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan for which he won best actor in ITA 2007.

In 2008 he was again selected by Sagar Arts to play Veer in the NDTV imagine show Dharam Veer.

In 2010-11, Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms chose Rajat to play the parallel lead in Tere Liye[2] where he played the character of Robindo Ganguly. Later, he did episodic roles in Bandini and Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein.

In 2013, he was once again selected by Kapoor to reprise the role of the Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar in her historical drama, Jodha Akbar[3][4] for which he went on to win BIG Star Most Entertaining Television Actor - Male,[5] Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series,[6] Boroplus Gold Award for Best Actor in Lead Role (Critics),[7] Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role.[8] In 2016, he played the negative role of Kabir (Icchadhari Nevla) in Naagin, a fantasy drama which was aired on Colors TV. Again in 2016 he was selected by Balaji Telefilms to play the lead role of Chandragupta Maurya in Star Plus show Chandra Nandini. He also played the role Vikrant on Naagin 3, again produced by Balaji Telefilms.

Personal life

He studied in the Hope Hall Foundation School, R. K. Puram, Delhi.[9]

On 30 January 2015, he married Shrishti Nayyar, a theatre actor.

Rajat Tokas is a highly motivated actor who works with utmost perfection in every role he has undertaken. Rajat Tokas is one of the great artist who can given some of the masterpiece performance in Indian shows like Prithvi Raj Chauhan ,Jodha Akbar, Chandranandni to name a few.While he is willing to give his best with every opportunity that he is offered, On a personal front he has high aspirations to perform the role of Wolverine in Marvel Studios.

He has announce his willingness to take the challenge and Excel if provided with the opportunity to perform as Wolverine.He is quite active in Twitter platform and requested to Mr Kevin Feige , Marvel studios to consider him for the role.
