The following is a list of universities and other higher educational institutions in Russia, based primarily on the National Information Centre on Academic Recognition and Mobility webpage of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.[1]

The list is arranged in alphabetical order. However, some established names in the Russian language differ from the translations offered below. Occasionally, the names of cities in English are also mentioned alphabetically, although they might not be a part of the actual title.
