List of English exonyms for Italian toponyms

This list of English exonyms for Italian toponyms is a compilation of Italian toponyms, names of cities, regions, rivers, mountains and other geographical features, in an Italian-speaking area (principally in Italy and Switzerland) which have traditional English exonyms.

The English exonyms are generally more common than the Italian names. Often these exonyms come from the local language endonym, for example Turin (Lombard), Genoa (Ligurian) and Padua (Venetian). Some lesser-known exonyms have begun to retreat in favour of the endonyms, especially as Standard Italian has pushed aside local Italic languages. These are marked below with asterisk.
