Deana Uppal

Deana Uppal (born 30 January 1989) is a beauty pageant titleholder[1] and business entrepreneur. She was the Winner of Miss India UK 2012. She was one of the Housemates of Big Brother 13 (UK). She is one of the contestants of Fear Factor, Khatron ke Khiladi 5.[2] She has featured in various movies. Uppal currently runs a number of businesses under DKU World.

Personal life

Uppal was born in Middlesbrough. She moved to the Midlands when she was 12. Her father died from cancer when she was a child.[2]

She participated in Big Brother 13 in 2012.[3] On Day 1, Deana entered the house along with fifteen other housemates. She was randomly selected by Big Brother to be the first housemate to enter the house, and had to nominate three of the other housemates in front of them in exchange for immunity from the public eviction. On Day 70, Uppal left the house in 3rd place. Uppal received the most nominations of the entire series, and survived the highest number of evictions.

Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi

Uppal was a contestant on the fifth season of the Indian stunt/dare reality game show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Uppal played the main lead in Yeh Hai India.

Uppal played the main lead in UK Brit movie Born to be King. Released throughout UK and Punjab.

Bollywood: Hard Kaur

In the Punjabi movie Hard Kaur, Uppal plays the main lead as Sirat Kaur. The storyline revolves around how Sirat along with four other Sikh girls come together and raise voice against these injustices.

Deana is currently producing and directing a documentary film names Happiness With Nothing - a 55 min film showing the lifes of the nomadic community Gaddi Lohars.
